The Tension Between the Collective and the Individual

The solitary body moves between two states — at times it is part of a larger system that grants it strength, belonging, and a sense of security; and at other times, it detaches, left exposed, fragile, and limited in its movement.
Within the group, it is protected yet confined — connected, yet deprived of freedom.

In the other state, when the individual breaks away from the group, they breathe new air — moving without restriction, rediscovering the boundaries of their own motion.
Yet precisely then, the other side of the story is revealed: the group remains behind, bound and constrained, heavier than before.

Thus unfolds a story of interaction between freedom and belonging, between dependence and independence — a story in which every movement of the individual alters the breath of the group, and every breath of the group echoes within the solitary body.
It is expressed through the classical ballet Swan Lake, from which we drew our inspiration.

Object Principles

The object is conceived from the desire to express two synchronized conditions that exist simultaneously:
a state in which the individual radiates strength through solitude while the group remains restrained and limited;
and the opposite state, in which power emerges from the collective — from the group’s ability to provide stability and support to each of its members.

The object creates a constant tension between the individual and the collective, between inner strength and shared power.
It embodies a continuous transition between freedom and dependence through shifts in spatial scale — expansion and contraction, openness and enclosure — reflecting the changing relationship between the solitary body and the collective environment surrounding it
